The cleaning service was exceptional and the staff were so helpful. Festival village has a very relaxed atmosphere and the variety of food available was excellent. It was so convenient to travel via bus to the local town or to Barcelonia, the reception staff were so well mannered and always helpful. Overall we would definitely Festival Village. We booked for 4 nights as part of a suprise 18th birthday trip for my son, Festival village is hotel with some positives and negatives but it's good value for money. The positives The room. We had a 1 bedroom apartment which was very spacious, clean and had a good view from the balcony.

The entertainment. We didn't take part in the daytime entertainment but we found the evening entertainment program really good. A quiz, bingo, and outside entertainment as well as adult game shows. The entertainment staff are a credit to the hotel. The food. We are used to 4 star hotels which have a lot more variety than the Festival village all inclusive but what they did have was of good quality and we always found something to eat. The negatives The restaurant.

Although the food was good the restaurant is far to small for the size of hotel which lead to long ques of people waiting for tables. The drinks. Everything is in plastic cups! Even beer or wine! And the spirit choice was limited. The location. It's quite isolated! The hotel says Salou but it isn't really! It is a good 15 minutes walk away from the nearest beach in La Pineda and a lot further into Salou although they do provide a free shuttle bus.

The pool. The pool is so much smaller than it looks in the hotels pics and it was like getting into an ice bath! Me and my son usually spend hours in the pool but it was far to cold although I expect it is warmer in the summer months.

The guests. There were a lot of decent guests but there were also some undesirable guests who were very anti social. If you are on a budget this isn't a bad hotel and we enjoyed our stay. Date of stay: November Trip type: Traveled with family. Responded Nov 6, Thank you for your feedback here on trip advisor it is great to know you found the festival village to be of value for money. Your appreciation will be noted and passed on to the entertainers and great to know you enjoyed this whilst here with us.

Whilst you was here the hotel was at full occupancy and due to the cooler evenings the restaurant did get very busy early and caused some queuing on the door, during the summer months this was not an issue due to guests opting to sit on our outside terrace or choosing to dine later. Apologies this caused you any upset. Like any hotels you can ne4ver control the type of clientele who walks through our doors, and apologies if you found some undesirable whilst you were here with us, as anyone causing any upset to others whilst here would be addressed by management.

It is great to know you still had an enjoyable stay despite a fe4w negative points and thank you for your feedback Regards Lindsey. Good hotel lovley food. Been back from this hotel 3 weeks nearly and I miss it my kids loved it didnt want to come home the food wow i ate well in the 7 days i was there so did my kids i gained 4lbs Haha couldn't fault the food or snacks Entertainment good but some nights not brilliant erica on reception is very helpful kind and smiley they all are friendly if I'm honest diner room staff clean tables in no time hardly any waiting on food or tables The shuttle man what a lovley guy very chatty understood alot of English Only thing that bothered me was not alot within walkin distance it's either bus or taxi or the shuttle they provide but not enough drop off and pick up times That is the only criticism just not bein close to town transfers Is about 90 mins to 2hrs on coach also I'm going back in may so I'd say I'd definitely recommend just I'd say dont go in high season as personally I dont think the pool is big enough for lots and lots of guests ….

The basic layout of our apartment was lovely - entirely suitable and spacious. The staff were lovely and very helpful. But the food was just to die for! Just lovely. The beach which we loved is a 10 min walk there downhill and a 20 min walk back.

I could pick small faults like the loo seat didn't fit and wobbled but really that would be silly because it was just such amazing value for money and we had a great holiday.

I met a family in October last year who had booked the Festival villa ge and were moved to their sister hotel Villamarina in Salou as Festival was closing early.

It might not happen this year, but its worth noting if you are set on staying in Cap Salou. I would like to say everything will still be on but it will depend on numbers. The festival is closing on the 27 th so there will be low numbers the last few days but the first 10 days u will be okay. Like matt said don,t be surprised if u transferred to the villamarina either at the start or midway through your holiday, like most hotel chains they like to pool resources so the obvious thing to do would be close the quiet one.

Thanks for the replys. I hope if we do get moved it will be at the start of our two weeks but hopefully not at all. We have never been to Salou and got what we think is a good deal and the reviews on the hotel looked ok. Hopefully weather will be nice to be around the pool and on the beach. You get what you pay for.

Answer 1 of 5: A few questions:) We leave for Salou on Sat 13th for two weeks staying at the Festival Village All inclusive. Will entertainment still be on in the.

Superb food - just fabulous! This was a last minute cheap deal for us and this accommodation so outstripped our expectation I had to take the time to give it the praise it deserves.

Date of stay: October Value. Amazing to know we outstripped your expectations , thank you for finding our apartments spacious, and the staff friendly your comments will be duly noted and special praise to the chef on your behalf as we do work hard to ensure we are offering good quality all-inclusive everyone can enjoy and a major part of that is your food.

Superb food - just fabulous!

This was a last minute cheap deal for us and this accommodation so outstripped our expectation I had to take the time to give it the praise it deserves.

You get what you pay for.

Cap salou is the quiet end of salou, so you need to go into salou town itself. It's an easy walk from cap salou or a 5 min bus ride. Thetes a couple of bars and a mini fair for kids in cap salou.

Superb food - just fabulous! This was a last minute cheap deal for us and this accommodation so outstripped our expectation I had to take the time to give it the praise it deserves.

Thank you for your feedback and glad you had a great holiday here with us Kind regards Lindsey and the team.

Once again we had a fabulous stay in this hotel. The hotel staff are so welcoming, helpful The accommodation itself is a bit dated, the beds are very hard but the apartments are large, with a balcony and are cleaned daily.
