We are as upfront as possible with our parking policy and we inform all prospects and resident the cost of additional parking space. We also go over the parking policy in detail with all of our residents and have everyone sign off that it is understood. Our visitor parking is now strictly enforced and all visitor must display a visitor parking permit issues by the office to make sure that only visitors are parked there. Unfortunately, the fire alarmed were triggered 3 times in the past 8 months due to some smoking in the hallways.
After the last incident, we've instructed courtesy patrol to conduct additional rounds on the areas where the system detected the smoke and since then the system has not ben triggered. Regarding the AC situation,I looked into our records, and yes, management was responsible for this repair however you made the choice to contact your own technician and did not allow us to bring in our vendor because they were not available for a same day repair. Our maintenance team has taken higher cleaning and sanitization measures during this time of crisis. Railings are being cleaned more often and as much as possible. Walk- in gates and elevators are cleaned daily.
In regard to the parking issues you have described, please be assured that our office carefully dispenses parking permits according to the allotted amount of parking spaces available on the property. Any vehicles without permits are subject to be towed.
Our Valentia staff makes every effort to enforce this policy. Addressing your concerns with security, our overnight courtesy patrol is on site nightly, seven days a week. They patrol the entire premises, so you may not see them in the same place at a given time on day to day basis. I'm pretty surprised to see people giving 1-stars. This place has its weaknesses, but I definitely don't think it's merits being lowballed like that. They need to get rid of this. If you want to use the gym be warned it is often overrun by some random man who holds classes in the gym for his clients.
I have talked to people in the leasing office about this and was told they would take car of it yet I have seen him multiple times since. It is frustrating that as a resident I cannot use certain equipment because it is being used by this man to make a profit. They are not residents and I have seen them leaving. They also park in the parking lots without parking permits. Considering there is barely enough parking for residents that is pretty crappy.
There have been many occasions where my partner who works nights can not find a parking space in the evening meanwhile there are plenty of cars parked without permits. It obviously isn't regulated. The hot tub is currently broken and the jets will not turn on. The entire place smells strongly of air freshener and the gym is full of plug in air fresheners.
Some people have asthma or are concerned about their general health and don't want to be breathing those toxins in. If you are looking to live next to a construction site the old vons and want the noise and asphalt fumes that come along with that this is the place for you! Very expensive. Terrible staff and management.
It's no wonder so many people have already moved out. The gym is obviously nice and new like everything here but is always a mess with dirty towels laying around and things out of place. It's a very noisy location. Our dishwasher doesn't work.
The pool is supposedly heated but is freezing cold. The treadmill closest to the windows is broken and makes a terrible sound and hasn't been fixed. There is no parking available as mentioned in almost every other review. And apparently they just changed the printer so you have to pay to print. After all that I already pay to live here, it's just another way to be nickel and dimed.
The staff really could care less about residents as evident by Lauren's attitude. Obviously they have a poor yelp rating, I'm surprised it's not worse. At Valentia, we do try to ensure that anyone parking within the complex is a current resident of the community. This is the reason that an overnight permit is required for guests. Guest permits are easily acquired from the leasing office, or via our overnight courtesy patrol, should the office be closed.

I was able to listen to the phone conversation you had with one of the associates and you demanded and accused our current resident of keeping your package. I can understand that you sent it by accident to this address, however, our current resident confirmed that they did not received it or had it in their procession.
I would strongly recommend to contact the carrier to get answers of the whereabouts of your package. We are sorry to hear you do not agree with the assessment of your security deposit, but we are required to return any apartment to the condition that the resident took possession of it, the cost of which resides with that resident.

I have to walk for approximately 5 minutes to get to my home. Also, I was told that beyond the Valentia parking gates, only residents who have permits are qualified to park.
Which is quite unfair because residents who do not have permits hold that spot restricting the paying residents from parking and charging their car. I don't know why they can't assign parking spots for us so everyone can park near their home.
Like I mentioned I pay extra for parking and I would prefer to have a more comfortable parking experience. I have a very active job and I feel exhausted after work and I don't want to have to go round and around as if I'm looking for street parking in LA.. After reviewing our records about the water leak in the apartment, I did see that our maintenance team responded in a timely manner and you are correct even after contacting a plumber we were unable to determine the source of the leak because there was no leak in the apartment.
We did monitor the situation very closely and I was able to see that no additional water related problems occurred in the apartment. I know that the team informed you that we needed to install dehumidifiers to dry down the floors and all residents in the apartments agreed and were ok with the process. In regards to the fire alarms going off in the community, we took every step soon after this took place.
The office sent-out smoking reminders to the entire community and we also posted signs throughout the community to remind all residents of our non-smoking policy. As part of our tour, parking policies are always disclosed to all propspective residents and it is also part of our lease agreement. When you had decided to cancel your parking permit you were remined that parking is enforced and permit parking is required. At Valenia our main goal is to provide our propects and residents with the best service possible.
