We like the area with the seafront restaurants and shops. Review collected in partnership with RCI. Date of stay: December Value. Sleep Quality. Firstly sea view is a corner to the left but mainly a car park rm apparently privately owned by this Germaine guy who no one ever sees.
On arrival you cant get in the apartment until 4pm and boy did the receptionist not budge on that one she kept looking at the clock until dead on 4 until she handed over that key. She was the rudest receptionist I have ever met and unhelpful. After this we rarely saw any staff in site the office was closed a lot.
She first told us we had no booking even though I handed her the paperwork after a few phone calls she decided we did have a booking and told us its not a sea view so I called booking. No where to eat on site because most apartments are privately owned.
A good walk from the better beaches but we are okay walking.. Great location for sunsets and the designer shopping outlet. Apartment had some strange noises at night that kept me awake it did sound electrical.
Beds not comfy but we made do. Wood chip on the walls so definitely is in need of a face lift. Only used the pool once in the last day because you have to check out by 10am which is unfair when you cant get in your apartment until 4pm but I wasnt even going to ask about a late check out because I knew that answer it would either involve a no or more money. I wont be back here I am afraid. Date of stay: December Trip type: Traveled as a couple. Helpful Share. Dundee, United Kingdom 2 contributions.
Not for children, stuck in the 80s with strange owners rules you can use the pool but not the sun beds even although! Not for families, stuck somewhere in the 80s with strange owners rules you can use the pool but not the chained up sun beds even when the place is deserted, no WiFi no English tv channels no drinks or food anywhere and staff a rare sight.

Had a lovely holiday, whilst the unit was clean and satisfactory some upgrades would make the apartment just that little bit more homely. The staff at the resort were however very friendly and were willing to help with our queries. The complex is in a secured location, making you feel that you and your possessions were that bit more safe. Worcestershire, United Kingdom 5 contributions 3 helpful votes.
Adele - club El Beril. Firstly be aware that you have to check in at this resort at Club Altamira over the road, I arrived at midnight to find it all closed up which was distressing. Having said this, the resort was lovely, the apartment had a beautiful sea view, you need to up on the upper levels to secure this. There were a lot of steps so if you have trouble walking or have any conditions which affect your overall mobility this will be very hard.
There is a deposit of euros on check in, refunded on check out, or leave card details, which are returned on check out. There are 3 great supermarkets right by the resort, the Spar is the cheapest at the back of the resort.
The resort is very close to a main road so there is a lot of traffic noise all through the night. The apartments are not air conditioned so you really have to have the windows open, so sleeping tricky. The apartment was basic but clean, and had everything you need.
I had a 2 bed for 6, I was expecting an en suite room and 2nd bathroom but it only had 1 main bathroom. As there were only 2 of us this was not an issue, but any more people would struggle with 1 bathroom so double check what you have been allocated.
Having said all this, the location was fantastic, 5 min walk to beautiful beach more steps or very steep hill. It was very quiet though beaches were busy, not over-busy. The sea was warm and clear and wonderful. There is a beach bar, but is expensive, though great food and cocktails and wonderful staff especially Connor.
Carlos is a fantastic host and very attentive as are all the other staff. Very very good, wonderful food, though is very expensive. Cheapest bottle of wine is 20 euros, paella for 2 starts at 45 euros veg , up to over 50 euros for seafood, etc. Steak 25 euros and chips and veg separately priced but worth every penny. I would definitely go here again just need to save up first.

Answer from AMWD Jan There are x2 pools. The large one definitely is not. The small timeshare pool is meant to be heated but is only accessible to timeshare customers. Skottie asked a question Dec Answer from Nicky L. Dec Hi there - I stayed there for a week in September - it was definitely worth staying there and I will go again but there are a few things you need to know.
The resort is partnered with Altimira Club across the road and this is where you go to check in. I arrived at midnight to find reception closed and the notice to go over to Altimira, I was on my own so this was distressing but a couple passing by helped me and it was all fine in the end. The location of the resort is perfect - it is also very quiet and very safe, with gates all around right down to the beach front, you are given keys to let yourself in and out of the gates.
It is quite a large resort but you will be given a site plan to find your way around. I booked a 2 bed apartment which is supposed to be for 6, when in fact there was only 2 of us. It was an excellent apartment, though a little on the small side, but they probably have larger ones.
It was fine for 2 of us, but there was only 1 bathroom, again whilst this was fine for 2 of us, if you book here make sure there are 2 bathrooms. The kitchen was well equipped and we had a wonderful balcony overlooking the ocean which was brilliant.
This area would not suit anyone who is not reasonably fit and able bodied, its quite hilly and there are lots and lots of steps in and around the resort.
Its all downhill to the beach, but consequently uphill on the way back. The whole area met our needs all week, we didn't venture very far, everything was minutes walk away.
Great supermarkets just a couple of minutes walk, the spar over the road was the best value. The only other thing I would say is that compared to Los Cristianos which I go to frequently , its quite expensive to eat out. You can look around for a deal, but the really nice places on the beach front are quite pricey but worth it!
La Torre Del Mirador right on the front situated above Fanabache beach was excellent, we were treated like royalty and really well looked after, if you want a table overlooking the ocean and wonderful sunset you need to book in advance.
In the height of season this place has entertainment, but it was slightly out of season so there wasn't anything when we went, but we had a gorgeous vegetable paella and bottle of wine, the bill was 70 euros.
The bar on the beach has everything you would want, but again just a little pricey. The streets and beaches are absolutely spotless, I would call this the "posh" part of the island! We booked a watersport package from the hut there on the beach and this was excellent value for money and great fun - speedboat ride, paragliding, and jet skiing. Don't hesitate to ask me anything else you want to know - I was about to book to return here in March but wasn't quick enough and missed out!
Its only 20 minutes from the airport which should work out at around 25 euros. Answer from jpajor. Oct
