The old town has plenty of character. Good quality restaurants abound and simpler bars and eateries are plentiful. A fifth of the population of Barcelona but with a similar spirit. For a short stay, make sure you walk down to the marina area and along the leafy boulevard. A trick to get a great view of the city and the castle is to visit the commercial centre in the marina and climb the stairs to the first floor viewing platform which looks over the marina and city.

Great atmosphere and friendly people, it was a good mix between nightlife and lots to see. All the main attractions are in walkable distance, we even walked to the castle which has some pretty epic views.

Didn't care much for the very touristy Alicante. The Castle was amazing and if you get off the beaten track to the Plaza Major you will find some cool things. Staying on the boardwalk is nice for a beer and to people watch but not very cultural so make sure that is why you are there.

Nice town, but not what I was looking for. Love that Alicante is only about a 20 minute taxi ride from the airport or you can take the C6 bus which drops you off near the Marina. Alicante is a perfect destination which has great transport links to other parts of the Costa Blanca and beyond. Lovely area for walking, good for wheelchair users. There was not enough to do indoors for a winter visit if the weather is not good. A lot of places including the major churches, the market and at least one museum closes in the afternoon.

Santa Barbara castle is lovely and there is a lift which is very cheap to use also free to over 65's, not free though to wheelchair users which is a bit strange considering there is little for someone in a wheelchair to see. Nice restaurants and coffee shops many with a sloped entry. If you like trees the giant fig trees are great. The art galleries are small but interesting and wheelchair accessible, no English translations though. Apartment was very spacious, clean, comfortable and the host was excellent.

Nowadays, this modern city features a bustling harbor, great Spanish nightlife, charming old streets and modern beach resorts. Overlooking the city from the top of Mount Benacantil, the Castle of Santa Barbara was built during Islamic rule in the 9th century. Cascading down the slopes towards the center of the city, L'Ereta Park has terraced levels that offer stunning panoramic views of the city. The remains of the ancient Roman town of Lucentum are also just a few miles away.

The Explanada de Espana is a lively rambla. The marina is well stocked with up-market yachts. The old town has plenty of character.

Good quality restaurants abound and simpler bars and eateries are plentiful. A fifth of the population of Barcelona but with a similar spirit. For a short stay, make sure you walk down to the marina area and along the leafy boulevard. A trick to get a great view of the city and the castle is to visit the commercial centre in the marina and climb the stairs to the first floor viewing platform which looks over the marina and city.

Great atmosphere and friendly people, it was a good mix between nightlife and lots to see. All the main attractions are in walkable distance, we even walked to the castle which has some pretty epic views. Didn't care much for the very touristy Alicante.

The Castle was amazing and if you get off the beaten track to the Plaza Major you will find some cool things. Staying on the boardwalk is nice for a beer and to people watch but not very cultural so make sure that is why you are there. Nice town, but not what I was looking for. Love that Alicante is only about a 20 minute taxi ride from the airport or you can take the C6 bus which drops you off near the Marina.

Alicante is a perfect destination which has great transport links to other parts of the Costa Blanca and beyond. Lovely area for walking, good for wheelchair users. There was not enough to do indoors for a winter visit if the weather is not good.

A lot of places including the major churches, the market and at least one museum closes in the afternoon. Santa Barbara castle is lovely and there is a lift which is very cheap to use also free to over 65's, not free though to wheelchair users which is a bit strange considering there is little for someone in a wheelchair to see. Nice restaurants and coffee shops many with a sloped entry. If you like trees the giant fig trees are great. The art galleries are small but interesting and wheelchair accessible, no English translations though.

Perfect location. I took the C6 bus from the airport and hopped off with just a minute walk to the apartment. The beach is just a short stroll across the street. The additional half bath was convenient when the full bath was occupied by you or other guests sharing the apartment. The location was excellent to explore the Paseo, harbour, sights, bars and restaurants of Alicante. The room itself was comfortable, spotlessly clean, with a lovely bed and shower.

All the staff were very friendly and could speak English even though we conversed in Spanish I would definitely stay there again whilst visiting the city. The rooms were a decent price paid 46 euro for 1 night not bad! The rooms were homey with a fantastic photograph of Alicante on the wall above the bed!

And the Staff were very friendly and professional! The surrounding are was great! Driving about 10 mins up from the hotel there was a lot of shops and a lot to do! The castle Santa Barbara was awesome! Would definitely recommend staying here if you want a nice priced hotel to stay in in Alicante! Super friendly hosts who were warm and welcoming. Appt was clean, spacious and very comfortable for a family of 4, we had a spare bedroom. Supermarket next to the appartment for supplies too which was cheap and huge. Good quality restaurants abound and simpler bars and eateries are plentiful. A fifth of the population of Barcelona but with a similar spirit. For a short stay, make sure you walk down to the marina area and along the leafy boulevard.

A trick to get a great view of the city and the castle is to visit the commercial centre in the marina and climb the stairs to the first floor viewing platform which looks over the marina and city. All the main attractions are in walkable distance, we even walked to the castle which has some pretty epic views.

Didn't care much for the very touristy Alicante. The Castle was amazing and if you get off the beaten track to the Plaza Major you will find some cool things.

Staying on the boardwalk is nice for a beer and to people watch but not very cultural so make sure that is why you are there. Nice town, but not what I was looking for. Love that Alicante is only about a 20 minute taxi ride from the airport or you can take the C6 bus which drops you off near the Marina.

Alicante is a perfect destination which has great transport links to other parts of the Costa Blanca and beyond. Lovely area for walking, good for wheelchair users. There was not enough to do indoors for a winter visit if the weather is not good.

A lot of places including the major churches, the market and at least one museum closes in the afternoon. Lots of rum for the whole family. The place is really big, nice big bed, bathroom has two sinks and nice walk in shower. Big balcony to sit on, pretty big living room and kitchen.

Santa Barbara castle is lovely and there is a lift which is very cheap to use also free to over 65's, not free though to wheelchair users which is a bit strange considering there is little for someone in a wheelchair to see. Nice restaurants and coffee shops many with a sloped entry. If you like trees the giant fig trees are great. The art galleries are small but interesting and wheelchair accessible, no English translations though.

Perfect location. I took the C6 bus from the airport and hopped off with just a minute walk to the apartment. The beach is just a short stroll across the street. The additional half bath was convenient when the full bath was occupied by you or other guests sharing the apartment.

The location was excellent to explore the Paseo, harbour, sights, bars and restaurants of Alicante. The room itself was comfortable, spotlessly clean, with a lovely bed and shower. All the staff were very friendly and could speak English even though we conversed in Spanish I would definitely stay there again whilst visiting the city.

The rooms were a decent price paid 46 euro for 1 night not bad! The rooms were homey with a fantastic photograph of Alicante on the wall above the bed! And the Staff were very friendly and professional!

The surrounding are was great! Driving about 10 mins up from the hotel there was a lot of shops and a lot to do! The castle Santa Barbara was awesome! Would definitely recommend staying here if you want a nice priced hotel to stay in in Alicante! Super friendly hosts who were warm and welcoming. Superb location 2 min from C6 bus from airport. Right in heart of a lovely area for dining, 5min walk to marina and fab beach.

Appt was clean, spacious and very comfortable for a family of 4, we had a spare bedroom. Supermarket next to the appartment for supplies too which was cheap and huge. We wil be back as alicante is such a lovely city! The Manager Daniela was very kind and went out of her way to make my stay great,Tomas was Great with making the hostel a fun experience too. The Hostel is located in the Centre of Alicante and a few mins from the beech The facilitets are great.

This Hostel has all the facilities you need. A large meeting break out area and great wi-fi. I liked the room, the bathroom was perfect, plus it's in the city centre and not expensive! And the owner is really nice and she helped me a lot. Best place I've stayed so far! Simply perfect, recommended. I hope to come back to Alicante and find a room here. It was clean rooms are basic but clean pool area lovely breakfast was nice and fresh Location a little out of Alicante centre but tram nearby and easy to use Right on the beach oh has amazing air con which was a god send.

Great staff. Bed was one of the best from all the hotels we have ever tried. Beach is quite close. Tram to Alicante is close be careful it goes only every 30 mins.

In general we were happy to stay there. Staff was really friendly and told us all the best places to see in Alicante. Our room was clean and comfortable and the AC worked great. They had a little kitchen with a microwave. Bathrooms were clean. Location is really good, beach is a a heart beat away, staff are amazing and the city centre is on your door step.

Good location with lots of free parking in the street. Lidl supermarket is just 3 minutes away. The apartment is well equipped with all necessary appliances even hair dryer , many dishes in the kitchen. Everything was pretty good. Great kitchen. Lots of rum for the whole family. The place is really big, nice big bed, bathroom has two sinks and nice walk in shower. Big balcony to sit on, pretty big living room and kitchen.
