Nice common room on Nice common room on the ground floor. Both room and bathroom are very clean. The staff is really friendly and introduced the city to customers.
Good for one night. Right on the Camino, a mile or two past Sarria. Simple and spartan, shared bath, fan, stuffy with no window, no food on site but nice resto next door that gets a little loud but eventually quiets down. No on-site staff so they contact you to arrange check-in time. Friendly and provide Camino stamp. It is a vey cheap hostal located in a very central location in Granada.
The hostel is very small with only a kitchen and the rooms. The staff is very friendly. The WIFI barely reaches the rooms, so you must go to the first floor at the kitchen. My stay in the hostel was amazing. Everything is clean.
The hostel is not so big which makes it kinda cozy. They have a pool table, computers, laudry machines I would definitely go back there! I was not paid to make this review. My stay at the sant jordi hostel was fantastic. The staff really works to create a community within the hostel and they do an excellent job.
There were always people to meet and suggestions of things to do. This was my first time solo traveling and my stay at sant jordi has solidified the fact that I must do it again. I arrived to the hostel just before 9 am on a Sunday morning, however there was no one there even though the sign said reception hours were 8am. After about 45mins of knocking on the door 3 other guests had arrived to check in.
Finally we woke a guest who offered to let us drop our bags inside so we didn't have to stand waiting with heavy backpacks. He then explained I love a good hostel party but if it's going to interfere with the professionalism of your business and leave your guests standing in the street, then you need to fix it. Apart from that bathrooms were very clean, fridge and microwave in the kitchen where handy and rooms were tidy.
The Argentinian staff who welcomed me and helped me during my stay were absolutely lovely! The hostel is a villa with a view to die for and is something we might look at and wonder how the other half lives. The rooms were clean and the prices for food and drinks were reasonable. It was also nice because this was a hostel where guests talked to each other and hung ou It was also nice because this was a hostel where guests talked to each other and hung out.
My concers were about the facilities. It was not completely booked when I was there but there are only three showers and two toilets or was it the opposite? Secondly, they have a trellis on the balcony but no plants or vines on it. Finally, they shut everything down at !
They did not want you to bring your own alcohol but when you only finish dinner at this seems a bit early. I realize they may be trying to ensure that it does not become a party hostel but how about midnight?
I was in the city by myself working on a film for three days. The hostel had everything I needed. Staff were friendly and helpful, beds comfy and private with individual lights and curtains and everything was lovely and clean. Didn't seem like the best atmosphere if you wanted to meet people and party, but it's perfect for a relaxed visit.
We were a couple on the Camino with a private room that looked exactly as pictured on booking site. Shared bathrooms were best on the Camino: almost spa-like, with heated towel rails, and lots of room for personal toiletries. Modern room with wraparound windows, lots of heat, excellent wifi. Outstanding hostel in every way. We arrived to hostel at about We were met at the reception without any problem, we gave a deposition for keys 10 euro each and sucessfully got our rooom.
It was so clean and smelled so good this smell of clean sheets was there for all three days. Beds were comfortable af. It was noisy outside but it's obvious if you live in the city centure. There are free l There are free lockers at room. No wardrobe. We shared bathroom with other rooms but it was not uncomfortable at all.
It also was clean and well-equiped. Especially nice were guys at the reception. They gave us free food that was left after dinner when we arrived late and hepled us a lot with routes and nice places. Also we were given free maps and printed timetable of trains to Port Aventure. They printed our e-tickets for free as well. The metro station is nearby, two streets to cross. Bus stops are almost everywhere. There are cheap bars, fruit shop and supermarket on the same stree, very convenient just in case.
To sum up, it was one of the best hostels I've ever been to, highly recommend it! I booked a dorm room for six, and it's a suite room, two beds in the inner room and 4 beds in the outer room, which is very cool because it really felt like staying in a dorm room for four.
The bed is very squeaky and shower is not so hot. My stay was astounding. Hostel has a common area with BIG kitchen on level 2, 4 free computers in the common area, shared restrooms in all common areas, levels. There are lockers under each bed in each room for luggage storage, and upon check out there is a luggage storage room in the reception area. Hostel conveniently located in heart of Seville tourist area with shopping, sites within in walking distance.
You won't be disappointed if you book a private room or dorm bed at Oasis Backpacker Palace Sevilla. I booked and other local food. It is worth staying in the hostel. Luckily I arrived early and the manager changed it for me to a 3-person dorm, whcih meant paying more but it was worth the money.
The managef who originally came from Mendoza, Argentina, is very helful and friendly. H e gave me details about the best fo H e gave me details about the best food tapa. It was awesome experience staying there. All staffs are also travel-lovers and extremely friendly, those friendly atmosphere spread to all people staying there. Nicely tiny size also makes it easy to communicate each other, so pretty many of us hanged out together at night.
There are also creative event suggestion from hotel almost every night, like going out together There are also creative event suggestion from hotel almost every night, like going out together to clubs, home spanish cooking, etc. Barcelona itself is great place to visit, but after all it's all about who you meet there, especially for solo travelers.
Pros: kitchen is okay, nice small garden, comfy beds Cons: no hot water on the double room shared bathroom, room gets too hot in the night. If you stay at Sant Jordi Hostel Rock Palace--expect 5-star treatment, great facilities, pub crawls every night.
Staff is very professional--Paolo is a 5-star team member along with the rest. You won't be disappointed if you book a room or bed at Sant Jordi hostel. Give them a try, see how you can experie Doing the Camino with a baby we needed a private room with a shower. Room is mostly a bed, we had better for 40E in other places but all and all it did the job - clean room, not too noisy, smack on the trail.
Hostel staff are very friendly — they really make a point to talk to you, ask you what your name is, etc. Atmosphere is pretty social, especially since there is a large room with couches at reception. They have wash and dry laundry for 7 euros, an outdoor patio, and free vegetarian dinners at They have wash and dry laundry for 7 euros, an outdoor patio, and free vegetarian dinners at 9pm.
Fridge, stove, and cookware available if you want to cook. Cheap breakfast for 3 euros. Feels very homey. Only issue is that only some bunk beds have the coveted curtains I booked an 8 bed dorm and we did have curtains and storage underneath the bunk beds where you can lock your stuff. However there was a wall partition that led to 8 more beds People seem to be considerate of light and noise.
There are separate male and female washrooms. Within 10 min walk of 2 metro stations and bus stations and the beach! Danny and management do a grea Danny and management do a great job here managing the operations of a bed hostel. There are 8 free computers on the ground floor with a bar that serves dinner, drinks from 7 pm to 1 am each night.
Breakfast is served from am to 11 am each morning for only 4 EURO! Each dorm or private room has ensuite bathrooms and showers for guest comfort, convenience. On the top level, there is a terrace overlooking a beautiful view of the city as well as a small swimming pool if you want some FUN in the SUN. Great hotel with a fantastic staff! We were traveling with our son, stayed in the Gracia neighborhood the week before and returned to the hotel for our last night in Spain before heading to the airport.
The location is easy to the metro for ease of getting around and the taxi to the airport was straightforward. This was our first time to Spain. We are so lucky that stayed at the right hotel. We went from the Atocha train station and just a 5 mins walk to this hotel. We stayed there for 3 nights. We were arranged to the top floor with a big balcony that was fantastic. We can say good night every night when we finished our sightseeing. Room does not has a free internet service Room does not has a free internet service but we can get free internet at the lobby.
Alongside hotel has many Spanish restaurants and pubs. Those restaurants open until late night, that is very good for us "owl" to go running at the park, then have a late night dinner and drink right after. The only one thing we think this is a drawback that the lobby can get free internet but we have to ask the hotel people to get a new password and username by every half an hour. They do appreciate to give you but is very inconvenient for the business travel people who need to do some work before sightseeing like us.
Room has an internet service but charges expensive. If people do not need to use internet much, this hotel is a good choice to stay. The location is perfect The staff Oscar was helpful and accommodating.
The room is quaint but very comfortable and has two small balconies. The shower room is quite nice wit The shower room is quite nice with perfect water pressure. I could have rated value for the money with 5 stars had I booked much earlier than I did Pros is the location n proximity to the heart of the city. However the biggest let down is the construction outside the hotel n many other hotels in town! This makes it difficult for taxis to access. The room was big for European st The room was big for European standard for triple sharing.
When the whole construction project in that area is completed I guess it will be good again for hotels in that area. Good to ask any property that you are booking if they are affected by it. We were touring Spain and returned to Barcelona for one day!
This was the perfect location for us. Great for touring, close to restaurants and shopping and gay bars. The hotel is very clean and modern. The bathrooms are roomy and have a tub. Which is a nice addition and not found in most European hotels.
The rooms are large. The only draw back is no on sit The only draw back is no on site bar. This was the perfect hotel for us to stay when we went to Barcelona to visit our son who was spending the semester there. It was walking distance to most of the areas we wanted to see or a short cab ride to the others. Can't beat the price for such a great location. Also, I don't sleep well away from home, and had no problems here The staff was very polite and helpful when needed.
We didn't need any additional facilities which is why I gave that 3 stars. Will absolutely recommend to my friends who are going to visit their kids!! The hotel is not the most central located one but it has very good and comfortable design, helpful receptionist and spa at a low price.
Very good value for money, best hotel I have ever stayed in Spain. Best stay in Spain. Hotel is located literally above Barcelona's main railway and metro stations.
Within minute metro rides of Barcelona's main attractions. Hotel room was meticulously clean and comfortable with all the necessary amenities provided toiletries, safe, iron, ironing board, mini bar, large screen TV, hairdryer, etc. Features double sinks and full Features double sinks and full size shower. Free WiFi and free use of iMacs in the lobby area. ATM machine conveniently located at the lobby by the elevators area.
Customer service was excellent. Enjoyed my short stay. Rooms were very clean but location is not ideal. Its a 25 euro taxi trip from Airport. No bus because i arrived after midnight in Barcelona, otherwise there is a 5 min walk bus stop from Hotel. But there was a variety of food choices available. Reception - was helpful, explained about the public transport, Set up a wake up call but did not get it on the first day lucky i set up my own alarm.
The rooms are very clean, spacious with beautiful interior. The bed was super comfortable and the best part was the view! This hotel have breathtaking views!! The staff were very nice and helpful, and excellent breakfast with a wide range of choices.
Location is super ideal with the beach and restaurants a few steps away and buss stop 1 minuet walk away. The buss takes The buss takes you all the way to the central and all main attractions. Highly recommended hotel and I will definitely come back! The hotel is so clean and towels are swapped every day and the bed made.
I liked that you al I liked that you also get the WiFi and safe for free. All the staff was so friendly and more than willing to help us get anything we needed. I hardly write hotel review unless the hotel has wow factor. In addition, you just need to walk less than 3 mins to the bus station to catch the Aerobus to the airport.
As a foodie, we are As a foodie, we are looking for good restaurant to dine in, the staff Juan gave us few recommended restaurants and I must say all his recommendation were absolutely amazing!
Hotel is kind of boutique hotel BUT practical, from the room layout to the bathroom facilities, all superb. Trust me, you will never go wrong by choosing Catalonia Square Hotel. I stayed 4 nights at Colonial at the end of a 16 day tour of Spain and Portugal. This would be ok for a This would be ok for a one or two night stay - but for a four night stay it was a bit claustraphobic.
This appears to me a hotel that draws most of its income from conferences and weddings and the sheer size tends to undermine a more intimate relationship with the guest. However I qualify this by saying that staff have always been polite and f However I qualify this by saying that staff have always been polite and friendly to us. On previous occasions the cocktail bar has been well attended but it looks like spain is really suffering at the moment as i was the only one there on a hursday night, the Italica restaurant at which we dined once and was quite pleased with it,was closed.
We checked in on the 1st March. Hotel staff are friendly and very helpful. Hotel room is spacey and cleaned. On Sunday 4th March we went on a tour for the whole day and I left my watch Tag Heuer in the room by the coffee table.
I thought I'd lost it because we're already warned not to leave valuable things. I was so devastated because this watch is a very special gift I was so devastated because this watch is a very special gift from my husband.
Fortunately, the cleaning lady who had my room on that day is very honest. When I came back to the room, I saw the watch was still on the same position!
Best Western Dante Hotel, this lady has done outstanding job and plus on plus she is also very honest! She needs to be kept and rewarded. I'm so lucky I still can get a chance to meet her on our last day and personally say thank you to her for being such a wonderful person. All in all my experience in Barcelona turns out to be the best experience so far!
Thank you! Dhieny Buana from room , 1st March - 5th March. This is my second time after 3 years - the whole concept of the hotel is great and unique worldwide with all the parties. That's why they can charge so much money per night. The staff at the reception is nice, but on the beach not very good.
It took ages until we were served. Food is good. And the parties are great of course : So will come there again because of the v And the parties are great of course : So will come there again because of the vibe, but in terms of service there are much better 5 star hotels for less money ;. This hotel is my favorite. I like the design, the staff is very good, the bed is the best i know so far.
We book this hotel every year, because we like barcelona and especialy we love this hotel so much. The location, the rooms, the staff, the food, the room service, the breakfast, the coffee, everything we love in this hotel. The Hotel is not cheap, but compared to The best of this hotel is the excellent bed.
The very friendly staff made my stay quite pleasant!!! Small room appeared much larger by the cleverly designed room divider. It was beautiful! Not a lot of space for luggage, but it still felt luxurious. The bathroom was exceptional! Lovely shower and separate deep tub made leaving difficult. I look forward to returning! Claris G T is conveniently located just 3 minutes walk from Passeig de Gracia train station, which makes it directly accessible from the airport.
The hotel is very stylish, similar to a boutique hotel, with modern art items all around. The rooms are nice and quiet double glazed. Staff was friendly. The roof top bar is a very pleasant place to chill out on evenings. Overall we liked the place for our short stay 2 nights. Being a well travelled couple for both business and pleasure, we found it a little bit over priced, yet we didn't feel that we were in a 4 stars hotel. I was not impressed with some of the staff.
The concierge was not as helpful as they should have been. They did not have a good map to provide. Also there are no signs in the hotel telling you where things are and again no map is provided. Therefore when we arrived and tried to find a place to eat we settled for outside the piano bar where we saw others eating. We were only brought the piano bar menu to order from. When we saw others being brought more substantial items we were told that we had to ask to order off the dining menu.
For a 5 star restaurant both should have been provided or offered. Lastly and most important their shampoo and conditioner product is the worst. It makes your hair feel like straw.
When I asked if they had something better the answer was we know and No. Definitely not 5 star quality. We stayed here for our minimoon after getting married in spain. The hotel is very worthy of its 5 star. The staff are great. Food is perfect. The rooftop pool bar is perfect as an escape from the city hussle. The customer service is amazing and wonderful hotel with excellent location.
Walking distance to many shops, eateries and tourist attractions. Really the best hotel we've stayed in Spain. We stayed at the Hotel Hesperia Barcelona Tower the night before our flight home as it was close to the airport.
Hotel was excellent and staff were fantastic. We got a really good deal on a Superior Room and it was a great way to spend our last night in Spain. There is a big shopping mall close by and even though it was Sunday it was open so we had something to do I would have to say that this is one of the top 5 hotels I have stayed at in my life.
Second, the staff knew it was our h Second, the staff knew it was our honeymoon and sent us a complimentary bottle of champagne with a note. It was a very nice touch.
Third, the staff was very friendly and spoke English very well, which is always important for me. Fourth, the location of this hotel was very good because it was close to La Ramblas but also the Port Vuell and other attractions such as the MareMagnum mall.
Last, but not least, the rooms were clean, spacious and meticulously kept. My wife seconds my opinion when we say that if we ever come back to Barcelona, it will be at the Pullman Skipper hotel. We loved the roof but there always seemed to not be enough seats to accomodate the guests. Excellent hotel, very comfortable room, fine cotton sheets, comfortable pillows, attentive staff.
The grounds are well laid out with a beautiful lake, very tranquil. I had supper both nights in the garden restaurant and enjoyed some of the best cuisine for some time, the sea bass was excellent as were the scallops all for 45 Euro, not bad. Sadly the massage trteatments were f Sadly the massage trteatments were fully booked all week, clearly a case for taking on more staff to cope with demand. Apart from that the hotel could not be faulted,I will definitely stay here again on my next visit.
On arrival reception couldn't find our booking which we booked through Agoda but they sorted it out very quickly and we got early check-in at 12pm normally check-in is 3pm. The hotel is quite new so the bed room is big and comfortable with big bathroom and very clean. The next morning we went for breakfast we were surprised as the food is very tasty just everything you The next morning we went for breakfast we were surprised as the food is very tasty just everything you need before you go out for the day.
The location is very central to shopping area, buses and metro. Over all I will be back again and would highly recommend to friends and family. I impressive that the staffs at hotel was so kind and nice. As my flight is so early in the morning, the staff took the taxi toward to the airport. And the room was fabulous that made my last night great in spain. Amenities and the spa in the hotel is high quality also. If i have a chance to visit spain again, Sure that I would stay this hotel.
By any criteria one of the finest boutique small hotels in the world. The location and style were first rate. However the star of the show is to a person the staff were remarkable.
When I checked in I mentioned it was my birthday later in the week. How surprised that 3 days later the restaurant, house cleaners and front desk all wished me happy birthday. When I return When I returned from a day of touring a small cake and bottle of cava awaited me in my room It is just one example of the small touches that will make me return. This Hotel was in the best location that we could find The staff was accommodating and the Room was always clean.
Would definitely recommend! We had a total of 5 days stay at the hotel, the staff service was really good. Everyone was very friendly and they were always there to help and answer any questions. Breakfast was great as the staff were always welcoming and lovely in the morning. Hotel is very good when it comes to security, as they lock the doors at night so that strangers do enter in randomly. We felt very safe. When we travel to Barcelona again we will be staying at this hotel again as it was in the best location for shopping and night life.
Great breakfast selection, served with awful coffee and cava. There was a Nespresso machine in our room, but no coffee capsules were provided. We had to pay 5. Not really a 5-star hotel experience, but the staff were friendly and very professional so we had a pleasa Not really a 5-star hotel experience, but the staff were friendly and very professional so we had a pleasant stay.
We stayed at the Hotel Villa Real for three nights in October and we must say it was a very relaxing and wonderful stay. The hotel is very central to all sights but at the same time located in a quieter area of Madrid. It has five star facilities with restaurant, gym, bar both public and private as well as a small seating area outside on the Plaza.
There is an opt There is an option of breakfast which is very worth while including as it well stocked and a very good start to any day. There are three Metro stations nearby, Sol, Bank and Saville but these are about a ten minute walk away.
Taxis are always passing so very easy to obtain one if needed. The rooms are classically decorated, very comfortable one reason we booked this hotel is that there are sofas and not just the one chair, we makes for seating comfort at the end of a tiring day. It is not a large hotel, approx rooms or so, but three lifts to all floors, as well as plenty of help from very attentive staff.
Rooms have good air conditioning and balconies. A lovely hotel and one highly recommended. We were on an Insight Vacations tour of Spain and Portugal and this was the best hotel with the best breakfast. The red level is well worth the extra. We had two entry level rooms which were beautiful. This is one of the best hotels I have been to in Europe.
Highly recommended, this is not a cheap hotel but the best never is! At the north end of Salamanca so further away from the city than some but easy access to metro or by taxi about Euro to centre, 30 min walk to the main park. Nice quiet area where the embassies are - good restaurant la mucca very nearby 2 mins walk their tuna millefeuille is fantastic Spanish take on the salad. Staff excellent - can't do enough, very smiley and Staff excellent - can't do enough, very smiley and happy.
I couldn't fault them! Reception, bell boys, taxi hailers, breakfast staff all very impressive. Very reasonable rates for the standard, great technology in room - lighting, sound system, bathroom fittings etc. Must have been refurbished relatively recently.
Far better than some of the old school 5 star rooms where you pay 3 times the price and the tech feels 20 years old. Breakfast also very good. Thoroughly recommended. Find Hotels in Spain vacation rentals and hotels available now.
