Take the vintage electric train ride through the mountains from Palma to Soller, or the old tram down to the port. Take an after dinner stroll along Pine Walk in Puerto Pollensa and watch the sun set over the bay. Soak up the fiery Fiesta atmosphere and join in with the live music, colourful costume and non-stop dancing.

In addition to otherworldly beaches and pulsating nightlife, there's a world of culture, history, cuisine and diverse landscapes waiting to be explored. From the stunning mountains of the Serra de Tramuntana to secluded coves and long white beaches, Majorca is a land of immense natural beauty.

Perfect crystalline water and long stretches of white sand are par for the course, waiting around practically every corner. For something much less developed, though no less beautiful, with all the amenities you need within easy reach, rent a finca near the beaches at Es Trent or Es Carbo. Majorca isn't only about the beaches; it also boasts some incredible mountain landscapes.

With five different peaks reaching over m in altitude on the island, there is plenty to challenge the keenest of hikers and mountain bikers. For the most dramatic scenery, aim for the staggering Terra de Tramuntana on the west of the island, where you'll often find yourself alone on quiet trails through some amazing scenery. On the eastern side of Majorca, the Serra de Llevant mountains also offer peaceful trails and plenty more gentle paths for walkers of all ages. Don't forget about the many coastal walking tracks around Majorca, too, which can reveal hidden coves and beaches inaccessible by car that most holidaymakers will never get to see.

However, there is a lot more to nightlife on Majorca than clubbing. Wine is an ancient Majorcan speciality, and bodegas everywhere offer an authentic evening experience. Ideal for large groups, this is the easiest and safest way to host a successful Catalan paella party while on holiday!

Struggling to decide which beautiful part of the island to book your holiday apartment in Majorca? TUI Villas lets you book various holiday homes around Majorca for the same trip, so you can see more of the island without wasting time having to drive back to the same base every day.

Numerous budget and national airlines operate direct daily flights to Palma de Mallorca from most major European capitals, including London, Berlin, Amsterdam and Paris, as well as many smaller hubs. A shuttle bus from the airport runs you straight to the centre of Palma, although most rental car companies have their offices at the airport, so you can drive straight from there to any holiday home around Majorca.

Another option is to take a ferry to Majorca from mainland Spain. There are many options for this including Barcelona, Valencia and Alicante, as well as the neighbouring islands of Ibiza and Menorca.

Summer is surely the nicest time of year to visit Majorca. Either side of peak summer, the months of April-June and September-October are excellent times to visit, with the odd cool spell and a bit more rain — a small price to pay for smaller crowds.

Over winter, a lot of Majorca's resorts and beach facilities are closed, and a lot of local shopkeepers and tour operators take their holidays at this time. That said, the island is still beautiful and the weather certainly mild by European winter standards, with daytime temperatures regularly in the 20s.

Teenagers can be tricky to entertain on holiday, but Majorca has lots of things to do that they will embrace along with the rest of the family. Choosing holiday apartments in Majorca Spain gives you the freedom to explore the island and try some of the exciting activities on offer.

A tour the historical city of Palma is more fun on the back of a Segway. Available for anyone 12 years and older, teenagers will get the hang of operating a Segway in no time. If you're a family that likes more challenging activities, canyoning is available in the mountains of Majorca. Qualified instructors help you jump into rock pools, abseil down steep inclines and swim in narrow waterways. There are a number of holiday apartments in Majorca Spain that are within easy reach of Alcudia, so if you want to enjoy windsurfing, kayaking or sailing, this is a good area to base yourself.

Katmandu Park in Magaluf has something for every age group. With 5D thrill rides, a waterpark and soft play areas there's plenty to do here. Aqualand in Arenal offers water slides, dinghy shoots and a wave pool.

And Fantasia Golf in Palma is a great way to pass an hour or two in early evening. All of the TUI Villas holiday apartments in Majorca Spain are within easy reach of these great things to do with your family. We are the operator of all the properties tagged with the TUI Smile and you will benefit from many advantages:. In addition to our own holiday homes and apartments, we also offer to mediate accommodation on behalf of third-party providers.

These consist of reliable private hosts, local agencies, specialists, and renowned tour operators. You will see who the provider of the accommodation is in each property description.

Subscribe to the newsletter! Ask our customer service. You have a holiday home or apartment of your own and you want to increase your occupancy rate and reach more customers?

TUI Villas will assume the active mediation process and Europe-wide marketing — without any risk for you as the owner. Perhaps your accommodation is a TUI villa. Find out and register as an owner.

The girl that was in charge of my booking, Tasha Price, was very friendly and gave me excellent advice. She is definitely very familiar with the island and knew exactly what I was looking for. I went with my five children and we had a great and unforgettable time! Excellent experience!! Ian Hildreth. Very accommodating, easy to deal with, efficient and accurate in terms of the accommodation we required.

We look forward to the next booking! Garry Trim.
