Cons: One hour wait wait to see a representative at desk, THEN 15 mins more wait as no car was ready. Petrol tank was not full - told I had to change the car with a long wait if I did so or lose out on the amount it was away from full up.

Pros: A very friendly and polite gentleman from the same company sorted out car hire following the very rude aggressive man that we were forced to walk away from. Car was in good condition and very clean. Cons: What a rip off. I have rented cars hundreds of times in many countries and never been stitched up with such huge hidden charges!!

We asked to take the quote away to consider and the man quickly ripped it up and theatened to call security An obvious sign we were being ripped off! Cons: We booked fully comprehensive cover with yourselves, but on arrival were advised by Record and Go that this was worthless, and would not cover us in practice.

It's very poor to have such bad link between yourself and the rental company, and made the whole experience stressful and indeed like a scam. Cons: Understaffed, had to wait in queue of 40 people to get car. During busy times plan about 2 hours get your car. Returns also understaffed and takes at least 30 minutes. Cons: Complete con! Very unsympathetic staff too. Pros: Nice range of vehicles, good condition apart from damage by other users.

But acceptable to use. Also having the upsell at check In desk for extended cover. Cons: The car provided was all covered in scratches, had some stone chips, dent and a massive scuff on one side of the car.

It is not hard to imagine that I was not too impressed. When pickin up the car I had to pay extra for the fuel tank and service and refuling. I was told that these charges are going to be returend, if the the car comes back with the tank full. I did what they asked me for, but the refuling charge was not returned.

I had refulled the car to the max on the nearest petrol station. Cons: Would have preferred it if on collection of car they walked round it with you and pointed out damage as well as giving you a diagram. Cars are parked in a very dark area and not easy to examine. Cons: I had to wait for 45 minutes to pick up the car at the airport, while my children and disabled mother were waiting.

Pros: they seem relative pragmatic in respect of small scratches on the cars. Cons: too long queue at the pick-up and you had to queue up twice to get the key as well. Cons: We waited 45 minutes for our ticket number to be called. Cons: Hidden fuel charge of 31 euro which is not clear at time of booking only when you pick the car up.

Cons: Ripped off! The cost was originally advertisde as 40euros for 4 days. However once I went to collect the car many charges were then piled on which were not expected or explained at the time of bookning. Total price euros!! Total scam. And the car was parked in the wrong place so took ages to find late at night. Every other customer at the desk was having the same dreadful experience. Cons: Long wait at the service desks, complicated contractual arrangements.

Cons: Nothing realy just a little wait getting the car checked over. Cons: The queue for Record-Go at Palma airport was 31 deep, which would have meant waiting over 3h at the rate they were handling customers. Cons: Had to wait too long both to collect and to drop off car. Pros: relatively quick ,but this industry must stop forcing constant upsell insurances on us. Give us a price and stick to it. Cons: car was dirty and unwashed , it also was missing all 4 wheel trims.

Pros: Used them many times and are generally hassle free. Once you explain you have an Excess insurance policy they don't pressure you to take their insurance. Cons: On this occasion we had a long wait in the terminal to get the paper work done. Not many people on the desk, then computer issues. Wait was probably around 45 minutes. Cons: Had to wait for someone to check car after drop off.

Cons: not Record-go, location of rental cars and inadequate signage from arrivals. Pros: Price and friendliness of representative dealing with us. Cons: Child seat provided was damaged and had to change 3 times. Pros: On terminal pick up Quick and efficient on pick up and drop off. Pros: Car was good and actual car hire was cheap. Cons: Collection desk in airport was a little slow, but service when served was excellent, and in English.

Pros: Everything. Speed of getting away, both on collection and drop off and them not trying to sell me everything to go with it.

Cons: We didn't realise that we had to attend the desk prior to going across to where the cars were so a longer walk back, but probably our mistake. Cons: It wasn't clear when booked online that there would be another euros to pay for insurance!

Cons: No one informed us that the car needed to be taken back to a specific area of recordgo. Not particularly a problem- just had to re-park the car. I waited for an hour to get to the desk, despite having booked the rental in advance. Then I had to wait to drop it off. After waiting an hour I was given rude treatment by the clerk. When dropping off the vehicle I was again obliged to wait. Unbelievably poor service.

Cons: Check out service was terrible. Waited for just over 2 hours to receive car and leave airport. Would not use this company again due to service. Cons: Terrible hidden charges. Cons: I still haven't received the fuel payment on my cc for the full tank. Cons: My 'weclome' at Mallorca airport from Record Go was extremely dissapointing.

At a point in your holiday when you just want to pick up your car and go, Record Go have a ticketting system where you can pay 50EUR to go up the queue. Not nice. Despite booking an automatic car, Record Go claimed not to have any when i got there and triend to insist on giving me a manual car. Eventually after I explained that I can't drive a manual car, they 'found' an automatic for me. Long wait, staff had no details of my online booking so had to go through all of this again, had not reserved car seat requested so had to raise new invoice.

Cons: Absolutely horrible wait at the airport to retrieve and gove back the car. Some people had to scream at the registry people to get a car because they prioritized people who rented a car on place.

Anyone who booked in advance was placed in another ligne that did not move. Cons: Horrible customer service Hidden fees in the small print Would never use them or recommend them to anyone. Pros: Quality car, exactly as expected. They stayed late to meet late arriving flight. Cons: The worth company in the world, if you want to save your nerve cells-never use this company! After refusing we were told they can not give us a car. Stranded in the airport with two children.

Also you are not allowed out of the country and as we were planning on going to Austria we were stuck. The title says it all! This company ripped me off lied and seems to be getting away with it regularly.

A growing number of dissatisfied customers are putting reviews online, which reflect their dishonest trading practices. You book online and your booking says no further charges. When you get to the desk in my case Palma Airport, Majorca , they issue you with a contract in Spanish and take a deposit which they state you will get back as it is for the fuel.

When you return the car they give you a small amount back for the fuel deposit and claim the rest was for an insurance policy. I even showed the lady my policy. If you are wise you will read the growing number of negative reviews and avoid. They obviously think that to get someone to sign a contact in another language is acceptable business practice!

Goldcar used to be the only terminal based carhire company in Palma Airport. Be warned I'm not trolling Avoid Goldcar car hire at all costs. They operate a complete SCAM hiding behind a car hire company. Do not book with them, particularly through the Ryanair car hire webiste. They will charge your credit card for unnecessary and optional insurances that you don't need.

They wont tell you about this and will just charge this to your card, without your authorisation. Avoid being scammed and avoid GoldCar. How easy this process is I don't know as I would never use one I have heard very mixed reports. If it gets difficult They are not criminals for what they have done We booked Clio or similar on Majorca for 20 days and also booked our own waiver cover with a uk insurance co. We were a little stressed after reading some reviews and were ready for what tricks they may spring on us. The girl on the reception absolutely didn't force us to buy their insurance only explained why would we need it for example if the key was stolen or lost we would not have to go to Palma for a new one , she warned us about the non refundable 40 euro - record go plus.

The first car corsa was really really well used, we found a young man who helped us to check all scratches and the front mirror just fell off after I touched it.

After that they gave us a nearly new car fiesta. I still found a big scratch which wasn't on the list, he added it to the system. All the cars in Majorca are quite scratched, we preferred to park a few metres further away from the sea but some places were very packed and we accepted the fact that someone will definitely scratch our car day or night.

Which did happened, we found a few slight marks within few days and we definitely didn't do it. At the end of our holiday we didn't know if we needed to clean the car from the sand and wash it or not. And because there wasn't any car cleaning facilities in Porto Colom we decided not to and no one really checked our car for its cleanliness, I asked a few time to check it better but the lady just stamped "no damage" on our agreement.

All deposit was returned within 2 days. So we will use Record Go again and again, it was a bargain and fantastic holiday. The staff race them around the airport and over speed dumps and my car had 60, miles on the clock!!! Lucky it didn't break down probably, or lucky it was a hardy Ford Fiesta and it could take the beating. The staff and deceitful, slow VERY SLOW , unhelpful, lazy, dishonest and they appeared to have 5 people receiving returns and 1 person sorting people trying to resolve problems with people picking up the cars I landed back at Gatwick this morning to receive an email from Record Go telling me they were invoicing me for nearly Euros worth of repairs in respect of the car I had just returned to them at 7.

The email was timed at 7. It is evident to me that they had prepared and issued a spurious invoice for repairs to the vehicle before I had even returned the car , thinking that the insurance company would just pay out. By good fortune, I received a text on landing at Gatwick from my credit card company before I saw their email asking if a transaction that morning for nearly Euros had been made or authorised by me. I replied in all honesty that it hadn't. As a result, my card was blocked and it stopped these fraudsters from taking the money from my account.

They were both approximately 1mm in diameter and hardly visible. I cannot say if the spots were there when we picked the car up since i could hardly see them in Daylight and would surely have missed them in the dark garage when we arrived. The staff now said that they would send pictures to their mechanic to get a cost estimate. They would then charge me for the repairs and send a bill to my e-mail.

The difference between the repairs and deposit would not be charged. After 3 weeks there is no bill for the repairs. When returning the car and insisting that i get my refund or at least some sort of documentation that i had not gotten it back, the staff was very rude, acted appallingly and refused any sort of documentation.

If you don't take the car hire company's own excess waiver insurance you are in great danger of being scammed for damage that did not occur while you had the car. OK Car Hire are another expert at this extortion. Even if you have your own cover I recommend paying whatever the car hire company charges because they will find some way of extorting hundreds of euros out of you via your credit card. Don't run the risk. It seems like every one have, or knows someone that has been ripped off by these rental car firms in Majorca.

I for one will probably never visit Majorca again, but if enough ppl who have experienced the same thing got together we might accomplish a change. Only way is vote with your feet and only book with car hire firms who offer "excess waiver" included in the price eg Sixt, or pay the extortionate price for the company's own insurance cover of the excess for accidental damage. I know lots of people advocate buying such cover on an annual basis before leaving home.

Too many horror stories about car hire rip offs for my liking, I always used to hire a car when in Mallorca but not any more. I just order online for a taxi transfer and use buses or taxis for any journeys when I'm there, you can get a lot of taxis for the overall price of hiring a car plus you can enjoy a glass or two of wine if you're not driving.

We're over in Mallorca for a long weekend next week, it works out cheaper to do it this way rather than hire a car and I won't be worrying about damage and parking problems as well. Well I can't agree that it works out cheaper when you are short stay Markpool.

I went straight to the front of the queue, and was walking away with the keys as my missus was walking back with the cases off the conveyor. I'm not sure how that system works yet,I would expect people think you are pushing in but I will certainly be asking about it in future.

All the cars in Majorca are quite scratched, we preferred to park a few metres further away from the sea but some places were very packed and we accepted the fact that someone will definitely scratch our car day or night.

Which did happened, we found a few slight marks within few days and we definitely didn't do it. At the end of our holiday we didn't know if we needed to clean the car from the sand and wash it or not. And because there wasn't any car cleaning facilities in Porto Colom we decided not to and no one really checked our car for its cleanliness, I asked a few time to check it better but the lady just stamped "no damage" on our agreement. All deposit was returned within 2 days.

So we will use Record Go again and again, it was a bargain and fantastic holiday. The staff race them around the airport and over speed dumps and my car had 60, miles on the clock!!! Lucky it didn't break down probably, or lucky it was a hardy Ford Fiesta and it could take the beating. The staff and deceitful, slow VERY SLOW , unhelpful, lazy, dishonest and they appeared to have 5 people receiving returns and 1 person sorting people trying to resolve problems with people picking up the cars I landed back at Gatwick this morning to receive an email from Record Go telling me they were invoicing me for nearly Euros worth of repairs in respect of the car I had just returned to them at 7.

The email was timed at 7. It is evident to me that they had prepared and issued a spurious invoice for repairs to the vehicle before I had even returned the car , thinking that the insurance company would just pay out. By good fortune, I received a text on landing at Gatwick from my credit card company before I saw their email asking if a transaction that morning for nearly Euros had been made or authorised by me. I replied in all honesty that it hadn't. As a result, my card was blocked and it stopped these fraudsters from taking the money from my account.

We asked to take the quote away to consider and the man quickly ripped it up and theatened to call security An obvious sign we were being ripped off! Not nice. Despite booking an automatic car, Record Go claimed not to have any when i got there and triend to insist on giving me a manual car. Eventually after I explained that I can't drive a manual car, they 'found' an automatic for me. Long wait, staff had no details of my online booking so had to go through all of this again, had not reserved car seat requested so had to raise new invoice.

Cons: Absolutely horrible wait at the airport to retrieve and gove back the car. Some people had to scream at the registry people to get a car because they prioritized people who rented a car on place.

Anyone who booked in advance was placed in another ligne that did not move. Cons: Horrible customer service Hidden fees in the small print Would never use them or recommend them to anyone. Only way is vote with your feet and only book with car hire firms who offer "excess waiver" included in the price eg Sixt, or pay the extortionate price for the company's own insurance cover of the excess for accidental damage.

I know lots of people advocate buying such cover on an annual basis before leaving home. Yes, I have been there, I was told to pay for the additional insurance or I could not have the car. I was at Alicante Airport , Spain with my wife and luggage and had not choice to pay them. It ruined the holiday it felt like thief and it was. I had already pre-paid for the hire which included insurance. It's not a mallorca problem. The same thing happens in Manchester , Munich , Madrid , or Montenegro.

I got scammed same way at Stansted. The problem is that the car hire business is captive and lends itself to this kind of extortion, and particularly by the lesser-known names and the "cheapest" offers. The majors have a reputation to protect and rarely engage in this sort if thing.

They are rarely the "cheapest" though. Too many horror stories about car hire rip offs for my liking, I always used to hire a car when in Mallorca but not any more. I just order online for a taxi transfer and use buses or taxis for any journeys when I'm there, you can get a lot of taxis for the overall price of hiring a car plus you can enjoy a glass or two of wine if you're not driving.

We're over in Mallorca for a long weekend next week, it works out cheaper to do it this way rather than hire a car and I won't be worrying about damage and parking problems as well. We asked to take the quote away to consider and the man quickly ripped it up and theatened to call security An obvious sign we were being ripped off! It's very poor to have such bad link between yourself and the rental company, and made the whole experience stressful and indeed like a scam.

But acceptable to use. Also having the upsell at check In desk for extended cover. Cons: The car provided was all covered in scratches, had some stone chips, dent and a massive scuff on one side of the car. It is not hard to imagine that I was not too impressed.

When pickin up the car I had to pay extra for the fuel tank and service and refuling. I was told that these charges are going to be returend, if the the car comes back with the tank full. I did what they asked me for, but the refuling charge was not returned.

Cons: Would have preferred it if on collection of car they walked round it with you and pointed out damage as well as giving you a diagram. Cars are parked in a very dark area and not easy to examine. Cons: I had to wait for 45 minutes to pick up the car at the airport, while my children and disabled mother were waiting. Pros: they seem relative pragmatic in respect of small scratches on the cars.

Cons: too long queue at the pick-up and you had to queue up twice to get the key as well. Cons: We waited 45 minutes for our ticket number to be called. Cons: Hidden fuel charge of 31 euro which is not clear at time of booking only when you pick the car up. Cons: Ripped off!

Andrea Tuinanberg is an absolute star. Due to the coronavirus, when our original car rental period came to an end, we needed a car because we were in self-isolation, in a remote location.

We had car rental agreed with another company, but were told that they wouldn't honour the agreement. Andrea handled our case and arranged to extend our rental period for two weeks. When that 2 week rental ended, she extended it again, for another 2-weeks.

When we got to the airport we got a shuttle cab from outside the terminal to take us to the car office as it's a fair old trek from our terminal. It was around 9pm and so it was dark, the office was open and a young lad came out to help us, I must say I had read reviews of the staff being rude at the office however this was not what I found to be true, the lad was very helpful and quickly sorted out my documents, everything was in order.

He said I had to make a deposit on the fuel in the tank which I knew I had to do anyway, you fill up the tank before you return it and the money gets refunded around 5 days after you have sucessfully returned the car. Too many horror stories about car hire rip offs for my liking, I always used to hire a car when in Mallorca but not any more. I just order online for a taxi transfer and use buses or taxis for any journeys when I'm there, you can get a lot of taxis for the overall price of hiring a car plus you can enjoy a glass or two of wine if you're not driving.

As you say you purchased 'excess insurance' You claim on in this country on your return As Record have retained some of your excess deposit you should be able to claim it back via this policy. How easy this process is I don't know as I would never use one I have heard very mixed reports.

We were a little stressed after reading some reviews and were ready for what tricks they may spring on us. The girl on the reception absolutely didn't force us to buy their insurance only explained why would we need it for example if the key was stolen or lost we would not have to go to Palma for a new one , she warned us about the non refundable 40 euro - record go plus. The first car corsa was really really well used, we found a young man who helped us to check all scratches and the front mirror just fell off after I touched it.

After that they gave us a nearly new car fiesta. I still found a big scratch which wasn't on the list, he added it to the system. All the cars in Majorca are quite scratched, we preferred to park a few metres further away from the sea but some places were very packed and we accepted the fact that someone will definitely scratch our car day or night.

Which did happened, we found a few slight marks within few days and we definitely didn't do it. At the end of our holiday we didn't know if we needed to clean the car from the sand and wash it or not. And because there wasn't any car cleaning facilities in Porto Colom we decided not to and no one really checked our car for its cleanliness, I asked a few time to check it better but the lady just stamped "no damage" on our agreement.

Too many horror stories about car hire rip offs for my liking, I always used to hire a car when in Mallorca but not any more. I just order online for a taxi transfer and use buses or taxis for any journeys when I'm there, you can get a lot of taxis for the overall price of hiring a car plus you can enjoy a glass or two of wine if you're not driving. We're over in Mallorca for a long weekend next week, it works out cheaper to do it this way rather than hire a car and I won't be worrying about damage and parking problems as well.

I cancelled on 17th March and received my full payment within a couple of days back onto my credit card. As always, no problems. I tried Avis once, and I regret it. Piece of advice: I always pay full coverage. I know some people get disappointed when they reserve for a dollar a day and then have to pay insurance or leave a big deposit. I don't like the stress of that, not worth the savings. So, even with insurance, Record gives you a good price. I have used Record Go in Majorca a few times now and found them very good, however I am very disappointed with their handling of my refund due.

I cancelled my booking for August online which I had paid in advance. There was nothing on the website about how the refund is processed which is very poor so I had to send an email. I got an initial response a few days later asking me to send, by email a photograph of my bank account, plus my full bank details. I provided the bank details and IBAN number but was strongly advised by my Bank not to send the photo by email. This is not a requirement and should not have been requested.

Whenever I have received online refunds before I have never been asked to re-provide any bank details. Since I cancelled over a week ago, I have sent 3 emails and had no further response to any of them to confirm my details were safely received and that my refund is being processed.

I find this very poor and unacceptable and cannot understand whey the person who asked me for my Bank details has now ignored 3 further emails? I appreciate we are in challenging times but it takes seconds to send an email confirming a refund which is due to me.

Just recently came back from a 5 day trip to Barcelona and used Record Go to hire a car after doing a bit of research on different companies. When we got to the airport we got a shuttle cab from outside the terminal to take us to the car office as it's a fair old trek from our terminal. It was around 9pm and so it was dark, the office was open and a young lad came out to help us, I must say I had read reviews of the staff being rude at the office however this was not what I found to be true, the lad was very helpful and quickly sorted out my documents, everything was in order.

He said I had to make a deposit on the fuel in the tank which I knew I had to do anyway, you fill up the tank before you return it and the money gets refunded around 5 days after you have sucessfully returned the car. The car we got was a little 5 door Skoda, it was clean and very nice to drive, I really enjoyed the car while we explored the coastline.

Very underhanded. I use car hires 6 times a year and thought i would try them as it was only a Short trip. My mistake. However I will never use them Again and will definitely never recommend. Cheaper is not always better. Cons: Pick up extremely slow and chaotic. Would prefer full to full petrol rather than ending up paying a significant charge for gas full to empty option. Cons: We had to wait 2 hours just to get our car. The service was extremely unhelpful.

Pros: A very friendly and polite gentleman from the same company sorted out car hire following the very rude aggressive man that we were forced to walk away from. I was told that these charges are going to be returend, if the the car comes back with the tank full. I did what they asked me for, but the refuling charge was not returned. Cons: Would have preferred it if on collection of car they walked round it with you and pointed out damage as well as giving you a diagram.

Cars are parked in a very dark area and not easy to examine. Cons: I had to wait for 45 minutes to pick up the car at the airport, while my children and disabled mother were waiting. Pros: they seem relative pragmatic in respect of small scratches on the cars. Cons: too long queue at the pick-up and you had to queue up twice to get the key as well.

Cons: We waited 45 minutes for our ticket number to be called. Cons: Hidden fuel charge of 31 euro which is not clear at time of booking only when you pick the car up. Cons: Ripped off! The cost was originally advertisde as 40euros for 4 days.

However once I went to collect the car many charges were then piled on which were not expected or explained at the time of bookning. Total price euros!! Total scam. And the car was parked in the wrong place so took ages to find late at night.

Cons: The queue for Record-Go at Palma airport was 31 deep, which would have meant waiting over 3h at the rate they were handling customers.

Cons: Had to wait too long both to collect and to drop off car. Pros: relatively quick ,but this industry must stop forcing constant upsell insurances on us. Give us a price and stick to it.

Cons: car was dirty and unwashed , it also was missing all 4 wheel trims. Pros: Used them many times and are generally hassle free. Once you explain you have an Excess insurance policy they don't pressure you to take their insurance.

Cons: On this occasion we had a long wait in the terminal to get the paper work done. Not many people on the desk, then computer issues. Wait was probably around 45 minutes.

I paid euros for a pinprick in the passenger door. This particular branch of this particular company are thieves and no doubt about it. I used them a few years ago. Never again,. We could afford the Euro21 for priority queue, which was well worth it as at the airport the priority Q was 1 person long when my hubby joined it, wheras the other queue snaked around the baggage area. So we were dealt with within 5 or 10 minutes - and given the keys to a Citroen C4 Picasso with aircon and satnav.

I appreciate we are in challenging times but it takes seconds to send an email confirming a refund which is due to me. Terrible terrible company! They Have kept my security deposit of euros for no reason and no paper work to show why!!! I am so upset over This awful matter - they are scammer and stealers and I would never do business with them again!!!! Do not trust this company!! Terrible company. The price was always good. Mention should be made that I always got the full insurance option. The only thing I would suggest they do better is keep the interior of the cars cleaner. Car fine. No complaints. Much better than others in the location. Andrea Tuinanberg is an absolute star. Due to the coronavirus, when our original car rental period came to an end, we needed a car because we were in self-isolation, in a remote location.

We had car rental agreed with another company, but were told that they wouldn't honour the agreement. Andrea handled our case and arranged to extend our rental period for two weeks. When that 2 week rental ended, she extended it again, for another 2-weeks. Her positivity and levels of customer service have been exemplary. Every time I come to Spain, I rent a car. Record Go have been consistently the best in both price and customer service, the staff at Malaga Airport are great. I would have no hesitation in recommending them if you are in this area.

Very friendly driver from Airport to Record, but from there it turned bad, long waiting time, hot and unfriendly staff, who only want to sell you extras. Additional charge for travel outside Spain. We went over the car, and the staff stated that everything was ok, 2 hours later we were charged 90 Euro for additional cleaning, without any further explanation.

For almost 10 years now,twice yearly,during our stay in Marbella,the car hire is from Recordgo. Their rates are very competitive,no hidden charges,and as member of Record Club we get a nice discount,and privileged check in. Due to the corona virus we had to cancel our recent reservation which was prepaid and within 24 hours the money was re-imbursed on our credit card.

With their full cover insurance,booked directly with Record,it is hassle free. Picking up and returning the car is easy,but unfortunately it requires rather long walk at Malaga airport. When we got to the airport we got a shuttle cab from outside the terminal to take us to the car office as it's a fair old trek from our terminal.

It was around 9pm and so it was dark, the office was open and a young lad came out to help us, I must say I had read reviews of the staff being rude at the office however this was not what I found to be true, the lad was very helpful and quickly sorted out my documents, everything was in order. He said I had to make a deposit on the fuel in the tank which I knew I had to do anyway, you fill up the tank before you return it and the money gets refunded around 5 days after you have sucessfully returned the car.

The car we got was a little 5 door Skoda, it was clean and very nice to drive, I really enjoyed the car while we explored the coastline. Easily done, and there's even an option to do this on the Recordgo website. And which cars of the two do you think they look over most thoroughly to try and find bumps and scratches?

The checkin desk was horrific - hard sell doesn't even begin to describe it. Oh, and it took nearly half an hour, and this was in the Premium Service quick queue - there were people going through this for well over an hour in the non-speedy queue, and then having to wait another hour in the garage for their banger.

Fortunately, we examined the cars when we got them, videoed the whole thing pointing out scratches and bumps, and then when we queried them we videoed the worker confirming their existence three were not on the previous damage sheet. When we returned, we also videoed another worker telling us it was fine.

The videos were pretty damning evidence and we received the money back pretty sharpish once they saw them - mentioning the police seemed to help. If your email is in the remotest bit passive you'll never hear from them - make it a serious threat. Appalling car condition. Underhand attempt to rip off after car return. The first car corsa was really really well used, we found a young man who helped us to check all scratches and the front mirror just fell off after I touched it.

After that they gave us a nearly new car fiesta. I still found a big scratch which wasn't on the list, he added it to the system. All the cars in Majorca are quite scratched, we preferred to park a few metres further away from the sea but some places were very packed and we accepted the fact that someone will definitely scratch our car day or night.

Which did happened, we found a few slight marks within few days and we definitely didn't do it. At the end of our holiday we didn't know if we needed to clean the car from the sand and wash it or not. And because there wasn't any car cleaning facilities in Porto Colom we decided not to and no one really checked our car for its cleanliness, I asked a few time to check it better but the lady just stamped "no damage" on our agreement.

All deposit was returned within 2 days. So we will use Record Go again and again, it was a bargain and fantastic holiday. Petrol tank was not full - told I had to change the car with a long wait if I did so or lose out on the amount it was away from full up. Pros: A very friendly and polite gentleman from the same company sorted out car hire following the very rude aggressive man that we were forced to walk away from.

Car was in good condition and very clean. Cons: What a rip off. I have rented cars hundreds of times in many countries and never been stitched up with such huge hidden charges!! We asked to take the quote away to consider and the man quickly ripped it up and theatened to call security An obvious sign we were being ripped off!

Cons: We booked fully comprehensive cover with yourselves, but on arrival were advised by Record and Go that this was worthless, and would not cover us in practice.

It's very poor to have such bad link between yourself and the rental company, and made the whole experience stressful and indeed like a scam. Cons: Understaffed, had to wait in queue of 40 people to get car. During busy times plan about 2 hours get your car.

Returns also understaffed and takes at least 30 minutes. Cons: Complete con! Very unsympathetic staff too. Pros: Nice range of vehicles, good condition apart from damage by other users. But acceptable to use. Also having the upsell at check In desk for extended cover. Cons: The car provided was all covered in scratches, had some stone chips, dent and a massive scuff on one side of the car. It is not hard to imagine that I was not too impressed. When pickin up the car I had to pay extra for the fuel tank and service and refuling.

I was told that these charges are going to be returend, if the the car comes back with the tank full. I did what they asked me for, but the refuling charge was not returned.

I had refulled the car to the max on the nearest petrol station. Cons: Would have preferred it if on collection of car they walked round it with you and pointed out damage as well as giving you a diagram. Cars are parked in a very dark area and not easy to examine. Cons: I had to wait for 45 minutes to pick up the car at the airport, while my children and disabled mother were waiting. Pros: they seem relative pragmatic in respect of small scratches on the cars.

Cons: too long queue at the pick-up and you had to queue up twice to get the key as well. Cons: We waited 45 minutes for our ticket number to be called. Cons: Hidden fuel charge of 31 euro which is not clear at time of booking only when you pick the car up. Cons: Ripped off! The cost was originally advertisde as 40euros for 4 days. However once I went to collect the car many charges were then piled on which were not expected or explained at the time of bookning. Total price euros!! Total scam.

And the car was parked in the wrong place so took ages to find late at night. Every other customer at the desk was having the same dreadful experience. Cons: Long wait at the service desks, complicated contractual arrangements. Cons: Nothing realy just a little wait getting the car checked over. Cons: The queue for Record-Go at Palma airport was 31 deep, which would have meant waiting over 3h at the rate they were handling customers.

Cons: Had to wait too long both to collect and to drop off car. Pros: relatively quick ,but this industry must stop forcing constant upsell insurances on us. Give us a price and stick to it. Cons: car was dirty and unwashed , it also was missing all 4 wheel trims. Pros: Used them many times and are generally hassle free. Once you explain you have an Excess insurance policy they don't pressure you to take their insurance.

Cons: On this occasion we had a long wait in the terminal to get the paper work done. Not many people on the desk, then computer issues. Wait was probably around 45 minutes. Cons: Had to wait for someone to check car after drop off. Cons: not Record-go, location of rental cars and inadequate signage from arrivals.

Pros: Price and friendliness of representative dealing with us. Cons: Child seat provided was damaged and had to change 3 times.

Pros: On terminal pick up Quick and efficient on pick up and drop off. Pros: Car was good and actual car hire was cheap. Cons: Collection desk in airport was a little slow, but service when served was excellent, and in English. Pros: Everything. Speed of getting away, both on collection and drop off and them not trying to sell me everything to go with it.

Cons: We didn't realise that we had to attend the desk prior to going across to where the cars were so a longer walk back, but probably our mistake. Cons: It wasn't clear when booked online that there would be another euros to pay for insurance! Cons: No one informed us that the car needed to be taken back to a specific area of recordgo. Not particularly a problem- just had to re-park the car. I waited for an hour to get to the desk, despite having booked the rental in advance.

Then I had to wait to drop it off. After waiting an hour I was given rude treatment by the clerk. When dropping off the vehicle I was again obliged to wait. Unbelievably poor service. Cons: Check out service was terrible. Waited for just over 2 hours to receive car and leave airport. Would not use this company again due to service. Cons: Terrible hidden charges. Cons: I still haven't received the fuel payment on my cc for the full tank.

The staff race them around the airport and over speed dumps and my car had 60, miles on the clock!!! Lucky it didn't break down probably, or lucky it was a hardy Ford Fiesta and it could take the beating. The staff and deceitful, slow VERY SLOW , unhelpful, lazy, dishonest and they appeared to have 5 people receiving returns and 1 person sorting people trying to resolve problems with people picking up the cars I landed back at Gatwick this morning to receive an email from Record Go telling me they were invoicing me for nearly Euros worth of repairs in respect of the car I had just returned to them at 7.

The email was timed at 7. It is evident to me that they had prepared and issued a spurious invoice for repairs to the vehicle before I had even returned the car , thinking that the insurance company would just pay out. By good fortune, I received a text on landing at Gatwick from my credit card company before I saw their email asking if a transaction that morning for nearly Euros had been made or authorised by me.

I replied in all honesty that it hadn't. As a result, my card was blocked and it stopped these fraudsters from taking the money from my account. Just let them think you are taking your own risk with the excess.
