So we wait and see the van drive past without stopping for anyone! So the first van goes by without picking anyone up. So we have to unload all our luggage and wait. Rude staff, unhelpful, long queue, slow service. I told them their info was misleading, regarding being told there would be a rep, along with the fact that there no signs or instructions with where to meet the van at the airport!

Return was painless enough but I was ready to murder someone when picking the car up. They have now moved to a different location much closer to the airport near other car hire companies, i. They also have two shuttles now. I waited ten minutes on arrival and had no wait to return. We had no problems with our rental though others have had bad experiences, but the distance is no longer a factor.
Not entirely true - it's still off-site so when they shaft you for all the extra costs you have nowhere else to go - you couldn't walk back to the airport. They had just one shuttle when we arrived so had to wait for him to drop off and come back, awhich meant that we were there later than we expected and incurred a 40 Euro charge for 'after-hours'.
It also made dropping-off the car difficult and stressful they changed addresses recently and the paperwork had the old address on it - not what you need when you and your young family have a plane to catch. The charge for a tank of petrol was Euros - this is excessive. There's no way you can use this on a week's holiday on an island as small as Majorca although we did try, just to feel we weren't completely ripped off.
Hardly eco-aware though is it? This is clearly a strategy to generate another revenue source for the car hire company. I pity the people who have to pay that same fee when hiring a car for just a couple of days. They had been made to wait for longer than us to get the minibus, so it seemed reasonable to me that they were upset. The boss said that if they didn't stop complaining he wouldn't give them a car and they'd have to get back to the airport on foot not a small distance.
He pointed out that this is what you get if you book a budget car hire - in his words: "We are the Ryan Air of car hire ". And we all know what people think of Ryan Air In the end we felt the cost was significantly higher than we expected.
All-in-all we felt we had been taken for fools. Not a nice start to the holiday, and everybody in the queue felt the same way. We know this because everyone was complaining to one another. I had to return before car pick up and demand they take the extra charges off, which they did. Would not use Budget Mallorca again basedo on my experience. Pros: The staff was very friendly and the car was mostly in good shape.

Cons: Our reservation time upon booking through priceline defaulted to 12 pm, but our flight didn't get in until 6 pm. I had called priceline and they said not to worry about it, but when we got there, they said our rental had expired and they couldn't find us in the system. Now we had to book a brand new rental, which was of course much more expensive and included insurance we could not decline. Where the heck is ACE? Pros: Car size Have to ask where to go for ACE.
Was not scheduled to pay for insurance. Our credit card covered that. But agent insisted that if we didn't take insurance the euros charged for a 'hold' would not be returned when car was returned, but a month later and we would have to ask the credit card company for that euros. You have to pay additional insurance. Even if you had one. The only thing is the fiat , but i think i need to thank fiat for that. Cons: First i couldnt take car without additional insurance, even if i had one.
Then, i couldnt pay with my eur card as it was mastercard. They wanted visa. There were 4 of us, so i had to discuss additional insurance amount with my tripmates.
When we agreed for that eur more, there were noone to help us as this guy i was talking to went for a break. I dont even know if i get deposit back, on the parking lot there was noone to help us. Nobody cheked the car. But its one hour left and i dont think so Pros: Cheap car, worked, no issues, Bluetooth audio on lowest priced car.
Cons: The check-in clerk tried to sell me their insurance with "I hope you read the conditions" for more than the price of rental. I said I already have an insurance from Kayak where I booked it. She started that first of all they do not work with Allianz which is the provider and that it's not possible because Allianz could not know what car they are renting me.
On the insurance conditions of Allianz, which was quarter the price they offered, there was a line that said that I should call them if the checkin clerk explains that it's not valid, I started dialling and suddenly it was possible to leave a deposit as a credit card authorization, don't get another insurance.
The car smelled of cigarettes when I got it, but it was probably cleaned and it was a residual smell. It was quite difficult to find ace at the airport.
The information said it's operated by Rhodium. Which in turn is operated at the airport by goldcar. So after getting an ace car, I had to find Goldcar which was not mentioned, but I figured.
Pros: The car was nice and a good price. The staff at "Goldcar" were professional. Cons: I wasn't told that I needed to pick up my Ace car at Goldcar. Had to make an international call in Mallorca airport to help line to find out. Bought Allianz ins. Had to buy another much higher priced insurance at the counter. Then had to make 2 more international calls to find out what insurance I did purchase so I could cancel it. Not what you want to do when you are overseas.
They try to scam trourists. Be carefull when renting a car! They give you old scratched cars and let you wait for ours to get your car.
You have to pay a fee, if you dont want to wait 2 hours or more!!!! Never again. Hired a car on the 19th of febuary until 24th of febuary, my friend Andrew Hopper didnt have his card on him so I paid the deposit, when home in the UK a week later still no deposit money back in my account, women on the phone said days, it has now been over a month and still nothing, also the 24hr phone on the website does not work, no email address either I cannot find, if okay rent a car read this email please get into contact with me via email as you have the booking name and the date so you will be able to retrieve this information, account name that came off is Gavin Mills, I was also put down on the insurance when there Thanks.
My experience with this company has been terrible. Back in August last year I hired a car for a 2 week holiday in Portugal. We finally got hold of someone who suggested we went back the next morning! At 11pm this was not an option as our destination was one and a half hours away. We were advised to hire from another company and they would refund the amount.
I payed for a hired car that did not arrive and have not been refunded. I feel like I have been played with and conned by this company. They charged me for damages but I did not mind since I have full protection but in the time of the transaction the person charged me EUR and my bank has the full record but in the document they put down EUR for the damage.
This is just making it soo distressing and annoying to deal with. The car was absolutely destroyed when they gave me it has dents, scratches and broken parts from previous hires. The worrying thing is that they made me do the observation and damage check so this makes it upon you to try to find all the damages before hiring such a crafty thing to do, knowing well I can miss something.
If they would really be concerned about their customers health due to coronavirus, they would let them return the cars until all is over as, in any case, we cannot use their cars and they would not force us to go to their facilities with threats of penalties for late return I have resorted to writing a review as I have not been able to contact OK rent a car in any other way.
We had booked to pickup a hire car on the evening of the 16th of March booking ref When our flight was finally cancelled by EasyJet on the morning of the 16th March we set about in earnest trying to contact OK rentals to let them know our situation and if there was a way of transferring our booking to a later date. We tried emailing, messaging and ringing, so far we have not had an answer via email or message as for trying to contact OK by phone it is permanently engaged.
We know that we are in extenuating circumstances but on receiving the message from EasyJet that our flight was cancelled within minutes we had processed our refund. We found an OK site where we could manage our booking but when we entered our booking reference it rejected it saying it required more digits than our reference had.

I had a paid a deposit of euro on17th and was refund due to 20th Feb It's nearly a month and can't see refund my account. I had sent an email to the company but no response up to today. OK rent a car SCAM Omg, i was reading through previous feedbacks here and how stupid and naive i was for not look up for reviews before i rented with OK, as some others have named KO more likely. It's a clear scam model their business, every review on here have similar patterns, it's surprising that Spanish authorities would allow a despicable business model to damage the country's reputation, you would expect this type of behaviour in lawless lands but not in Europe union!
They are scamming holidaymakers credit cards as we speak, and with the virus shutdown on holiday travelers, guess what is going to happen to those who rent cars in Spain with OK RENT A CAR soon as the travel ban is over!!!
The scam will be at full force as they will need to make up for the business loss at the virus shutdown period. When I order a car the sistem charged me double from my bank account. But never send my booking rezervation. I needed to phone four times in customers service wait on line for min got answer they will send me but never did. Also I send three email asking the same. They returned my half money but still one week waiting for invoice about my booking rezervation.
I didn't hear any apologies words of they mistakes. The representative in-charge of car returns was a very large, aggressive, rude male, who then went over the whole car to try and charge me for damage that was there from before. It was an obvious attempt to get extra money out of me. Luckily I saw this coming from day one and had photographs of every scratch on the vehicle. The scratch he was pushing for proof in particular, was so obviously re-touched with the wrong paint colour, and looked likely to be a regular revenue raiser to this effect.
